We are swimming the English Channel in June 2026—a 19-nautical-mile journey through one of the world’s busiest and most unpredictable shipping lanes.

This journey was originally set for September 2025, but mother nature had other plans. After two consecutive hurricanes disrupted the channel weather window, we were forced to delay.

But the dream didn’t stop—it just gave us more time to prepare for the massive challenge ahead.

While I will be the one in the water, this is entirely a team effort. I am backed by an incredible boat crew—Gareth, Kate, Yannis, and Andy. They are the operational heart of this swim, responsible for keeping this dream moving - observation, medication, motivation, and delivering those critical, precise feeds to keep me moving forward through the cold and the currents. We win or lose this together!

With the incredible support of The Adaptavist Group’s AdaptaKind initiative, we are pledging to raise £19,000 (£1,000 per nautical mile) for three vital causes:

• Worldwide Cancer Research – Providing funding to discovery research for new treatments for any type of cancer globally.
• WaterAid – Bringing clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene to communities across the globe.
• Surfers Against Sewage – Protecting the water quality in UK coastal waters and rivers.

The journey started in the winter of 2023/24, training in gruelling 5°C waters. Throughout 2024 and 2025, the preparation ramped up through the Rutland Water 4km, Queensford Lake 6km, Robben Island in South Africa, the Henley Marathon 13km, Lake Windermere 11 miles, and countless hours of qualifying swims (6hrs, 8hrs, 10hrs) to get us to this point.

Don’t forget all the planning and training for the team to be ready to execute the swim on the day!

To make this ambitious goal achievable, we broke the journey down into smaller satellite swim events and generated early donations. 

But now its the BIG ONE….
