About this Giving Opportunity

32% Funded

£6,165.44

Donated of £19,000.00

I'm swimming the English Channel in September 2025 - a 19-nautical-mile journey through one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes. With the incredible support of The Adaptavist Group's AdaptaKind initiative, I’m pledging to raise £19,000 (£1,000 per nautical mile) for three vital causes:

  1. Worldwide Cancer Research - Providing funding to discovery research for new treatments for any type of cancer globally
  2. Water Aid - Bringing clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to impoverished nations across the globe
  3. Surfers Against Sewage - Protecting the water quality in the UK coastal waters and rivers

My journey started in the Winter of 2023/24- swimming in 5°C waters, and throughout 2024 I completed the Rutland Water 4km, Queensford Lake 6km, and Henley Marathon 13km.

As I build towards the Channel crossing, I’ll be taking on more challenging swims throughout 2025. Each stroke brings me closer to the Channel, but I need your support to make a real impact. To make this ambitious goal achievable, I’m breaking it down into smaller satellite swim events throughout the year. Even a £5 donation to each event, when matched by AdaptaKind, adds up to create meaningful change - from funding cancer research to providing clean water in impoverished communities and fighting water pollution.

Join me on this journey.

Every donation, helps create ripples of change!
